Love Never Conquers

Recently, I’ve been finding old accounts that I made when I was much younger, even as far back as 2006. At the moment, I’m already seventeen. One in particular was a site I made on FreeWebs.com called “Love Never Conquers”. I think it’s more unique to me because of the reason I made it and the content I put on there.

The site was for me to keep track of such things as my poetry, quotes I made up, pictured I found and, well… Mostly that. I think I’ll attempt another site like the one I had before called “Unspoken”, in which I got the name Mme. Unspoken. I even have the codes that I’ve found in the last pages of my many ‘Friends’ folders in my email account. Who knows. First, of course, I need a hosting website. There are several I could go for that I remember using: Xanga, FreeWebs, Blogger, and, the one I’m using now, WordPress. I might use WordPress for the sake of not having to make another account, but who knows. Xanga, I remember, really confused me, never mind pissed me off on several occasions. FreeWebs, I thinks, restricted me and Blogger… Well.

Now that I’m in grade twelve, I can take grade twelve courses, which includes that Writer’s Craft course that I’ve been dying to take since I got to this school. We are using Blogger to respond to the posts and articles that our teacher posts on her own Blogger Blog and we, ourselves as students, may even have to make our own blog.

I’ll try on here and then… We shall see, now won’t we?

I have recently found this disturbing, yet amusing… “Parody” of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland on Youtube.com. From my understanding, the original song was made by using five ‘character banks’ from the Vocaloid series. Vocaloid is a vocal-synthesizing software that allows the user to make whichever character their package is for, sing certain songs by inputing the words and the notes. Such Vocaloids come in English and Japanese and some of the Japanese ones include Mike Hatsune, Rin and Len Kagamine, and Kaito. This song in particular has five of the characters singing.

This link sends you to a video on Youtube.com that I really liked with the Vocaloids singing their song. This link sends you to another video with the same song, but actual people are singing the Vocaloids’ parts. I’m not sure if they are the people whose voices were used for these Vocaloids or not, but it is probably since they sound incredibly alike.

I have written down the lyrics from the second video since they seem to be much clearer compared to the rest that I have found. The meaning, of course, is the same in every video of this song. I have written the name of who the character is that is singing (or speaking). In the original, no one does the introduction. Rather, it is just writing and is silent (as shown in the first video).

Here we go: Alice,Human Sacrifice with Meiko, Kaito, Miku, Rin, Len (Rin/Len)

[Meiko] There was once a little dream.
[Kaito] No one knows who dreamt it.
            Such a truly small dream…

[Miku] This made the little dream think,
            "I do not want to disappear…"
            "How can I make people dream me?"

[Rin] The little dream thought and thought
         And at last had an idea.

[Len] "I will make people come to me,
           And they will make my world…"

~~~~~~~~
[Meiko] The first Alice was a gallant red one,
              Wielding a sword in one hand, entered the wonderland.
              Cutting cutting down everything in her way,
              She was followed by a bloody red path.
[Meiko] This new Alice, deep in the woods,
              Was trapped like a criminal inside.
              If it weren’t for the red path that she made
              No one would even know of her existence.
[Kaito] The second Alice was a fragile blue one.
             He sang to the world in the wonderland.
             Filling regions with so many false created notes,
             He created a mad blue world.
[Kaito] This new Alice was that of a rose.
             He was shot and killed by a mad man.
             It left a flower blooming sadly red.
             The one who was loved was now forgotten.
[Miku] The third Alice was a little green one.
            Very cute and dear in the wonderland.
            She charmed people to her every beck and call.
            She had made a strange green country.
[Miku] This new Alice was the country’s queen.
            Taken over by a distorted dream,
            She was afraid of losing to death.
            She would forever rule her country.
[Rin] During this, two children went into the woods.
[Len] They had a tea party under rose trees.
[Rin] An invitation from the castle for them was
[Len/Rin] The Trump Card of Hearts.
[Rin/Len] The fourth Alice was twin siblings.
                 Their curiousity [found them] in the wonderland.
                 Going through many different doors,
                 Coming not too long ago in a yellow boat.
[Rin] The stubborn big sister,
[Len] The smart little brother,
[Rin/Len] Though they were the closest to Alice’s Wonderland…
[Rin/Len] They were never woken from their deep dreaming.
                  Forever they wandered in the wonderland.
Our Last Dance
Well, it seems that I have written another poem. I wrote this after listening to one of my friends’ iPods, which had a lot of instrumental songs in it. (I realize now that it is somewhat like Miss C’s poem from a WHILE ago, but that was not intended, hehe.)
Our Last Dance
Your hand finds mine
As the other pulls me close.
Am I doing it right,
Teacher?
1..2..3
Dancing is the key
Inside our lonely hearts,
That will unlock our
Eternity.
1..2..3
Will you dance with me
When the sun is hidden
And the rain falls
Forever?
T.w.i.r.l
How can I be certain
That your lips,
Smiling as brightly as they are,
Tell no lies?
1..2..3
Must I leave and run from you
Once the clock strikes twelve,
Just as Cinderella cried
And ran from her Prince?
D..i..p
I will dance for you,
If you’d only let me,
Until my feet bleed
And I can no longer dance.
1..2..3
The music is slowing
And will soon come to a halt.
Once it is over
Will you let go?
1…2…..3……
It has ended but
I do not want this to end;
Our love, nor this,
Our last dance.
The young girl stood in front of me; petrified into silence. Her eyes held fear that made me want to giggle. I stared into those eyes as I allowed my music to play.  I slowly lifted my hands to her: beckoning, calling.
“Come to me, my child. There is nothing to fear.”
She took a shaky breath as her eyes darted nervously from my hands to my own eyes. I knew what she saw and it was to stay that way. For now.
My hair wisped around my figure in calming waves as the magic of my music started to take form. It was only a matter of time, now; only a matter of time.
“Yes, dear child. You are almost there.”
And indeed she was. Her soft hands slipped into mine and I gently held them. Lifting my one hand to caress her hair, a slow smile crept its way across my face and my eyes darkened to a deep red. It was time for it all to end.
She screamed in horror as she desperately tried to take her hands back. Of course, that would not be allowed. I giggled as the familiar thick blood trailed down my cheeks and dripped onto my neck. My mouth slowly opened as I bared my fangs and pulled her closer to me.
“No! Please don’t, oh please don’t! No- !”
Her screams came to an abrupt halt. Silence filled the room as the delicate melody continued to play. Music truly killed. She lay still in my arms. It was over.
She was mine.
It feels nice to be on here again. Such is the chaotic period we call “Exams”, no? I hate exams, it brings back all of my anxiety problems again. I have already written two exams, my Science and French ones, and now I’m terrified for the third one. History.
It isn’t the matter of being bad at History, it’s more of, “I’m terrified I’m going to forget everything”. To be completely honest, I have an average of 92% in History (excluding the exam, of course) and am obviously doing quite well. My main problem is dates. I can’t remember them for the life of me. If I hear a title or certain words, I will remember the event that goes with those words, but I wouldn’t be able to tell you when it happened. The other concern is the shear greatness of how much is apparently ON the exam, according to my teacher’s exam review sheet. I actually counted each event that she had written and I came up with about 95 events, plus some definitions and terms, not to mention the essay we have to write as well.
What I find funny is how I find it incredibly easy to remember formulas (that include numbers) for math, yet my memory is completely shot when it comes to dates for history. My friends say it isn’t a big deal, but I have a feeling there will be a few questions asking for the dates, specifically, or something relating to the date. Who would have thought a bunch of numbers would be my downfall?
Aside from history, I’m also worried about a friend of mine who is going through some extremely tough times with her mother. I have never felt so helpless before in my life. I am unable to be by her side when she obviously needs someone. I am all the way in one city and she is a few cities away. Of course, I am able to talk to her via MSN Messenger and Facebook, but is that enough? She says it is, but is it really? I am going to be seeing her in a couple days and I’m so excited. A couple hours with her won’t help at all with the situation and I know it. I don’t plan on even bringing the subject up if I can help it. I wasn’t the one that was there for her when she cried or gave up. That was her boyfriend and I’ll leave that job to him.  Knowing that someone is there for her takes a huge amount of weight off of my shoulders, especially when it’s someone that she trusts. To be honest, I have never met him or have had any contact with him at all, but from what she says, I’m willing to bet he is amazing for her. I hope all goes well for her – for them both – and she finds her way to wherever she thinks she needs to go.
Lastly, writing. The inspiration to create unique or common stories ALWAYS comes when you do not need them. Right now, I have the urge to write a couple stories, of which plots’ has jabbed it’s way into my mind and has stayed there. Unfortunately, I can’t. I don’t mean I’m unable to find the words for it, I mean I truly can’t. Now that I’m doing exams, I have no time to waste with stories! I have to study for my History exam on Monday, as well as my Art exam on Tuesday. It frustrates me so much because I know that it will distract me from my studies and I will most likely forget the ideas once I am done the exams!! I plan to write a story to submit to the Anime North Fanfiction Contest…. They only accept 50 stories, so I need to start working as soon as exams are over. To be honest, I have no idea what I’ll write about. Of course, it has to be an anime/manga, but about what? And with who?
If you have suggestions, I’d really appreciate it ^-^
As many people are farmiliar with, the movies The Notebook and A Walk To Remember have permanently made their mark in the hearts of the people of the world. Both of these movies were based on books of the same name, both written by the amazing writer named Nicholas Sparks.  Unknown to me, there is also another one of his books that had been made into a movie, one called Message in a Bottle. I had found the book in my school library a couple days before Christmas Break began, in an aisle completely unrelated to the story’s contents. Obviously , someone had forgotten it because from my knowledge, it should have been on the other side of the library. I read the back of the book and thought it would be a toughing book, completely oblivious to who the author was.
I can easily say that it has now become one of my favourite books. The style of writing was just like the Notebook, of which I’ve also read, and I was delighted at this realization. The book struck me hard every page and even though I rarely cry about anything, this book made me cry. I believe that is one of the ways that I measure how good a book is, in my opinion: if it can make me cry. This book passed the test with flying colours, just like The Notebook did.
          Reading helps the mind and imagination grow and develop until you think it no longer can. It pulls you into a world that may or may not be your own and keeps a tight grasp on you as you turn each ink-filled page. A book is just a book, you may say, but there are many people that find it hard to put a book down for more reasons than one would care to explore.
          Some read for pleasure. They love to read, love the words that are used to describe trivial things like buildings or the weather.  They love the dialogue that builds the plot and feeling of the story. They chose to read because they want to read.
          Some read for educational reasons. They yearn for knowledge, rather than the actual story. They take apart the tale as they read, analyze each and every paragraph, sentence and every word. They learn knew ways of describing tough or simple situations, the learn knew words and their meanings. They chose to read because they want to soak up as much knowledge as they can about the literary world.
          Some read for lack of anything better to do. They may not like to read or may not even like the story, but they will read it anyway, even if it’s just to say that they did. Reading is not at the top of their list of “Fun”, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t somewhere on the list, albeit near the bottom. They read because they can’t think of anything else to do.
           And then, of course, there are some that read as an attempt to run and hide from reality. Truth be told, this seems to be the most common reason for reading. Reading proves as a distraction for them. It creates a world for them and allows them to leave their own world that holds so much grief. The person molds their mind until it fits the very story they are reading, whether they realize it or not. They become the character of the story, or any character in the book world, and set their mind in such a way as to life their real life as the book. It comes to a point where their ‘real’ world and the ‘fantasy’ world are no longer different, but are now the same.
Now I ask you, what’s your reason to read?
Title: A Winter Stroll
Rate: PG
Word count: 1785 words
Description: A stroll outside on New Year’s Eve allows a girl’s mind to wonder over everything in her life. She tells the story of her thoughts on her sister, herself and, of course, love. (Told from her point of view)
It’s a bit long, so be warned, hehe. This was actually written on New Year’s Eve (and New Year’s Day) about a year ago. And if anyone was wondering, yes, I am the girl (I of course, changed the name of the boy).
Name: A Mother’s Lullaby
Wrtten By: Luna (a. k. a. Torch_of_Faerie)
Rating: Technically G, but since it has a slightly darker tone, I’d say PG.
Word Count: 80
Description: This poem/lullaby is basically somthing a mother would sing to a crying or frightened child. In this case, specifically, it is a lullaby that is being sung to a child that is soon to be sacrificed. The mother hints at the end that she is trying to save the child by hiding him.
Hope you like it.
